About Me

I play center field for the Jackson High Dirtbags in Jackson, Michigan. I was inspired to write this blog because as I was beginning my high school career in baseball, I was very inexperienced, and I used the internet a lot to help improve my game, so I feel like this is my way of giving back. In this blog I try to incorporate every aspect of the training I did during those beginning years that made me into the player I am today.

My main trouble as I was rising the ranks was confidence, specifically at the plate. This hampered me because my official first year of baseball in fifth grade I got hit in the face with a pitch and got a severe concussion. I could never get that pitch out of my head when I was at the plate. However, as I kept practicing, and as my hitting performance went up during games, so did my confidence. I gained a certain swagger that helps me forget about the concussion and know in my mind that I have the ability to be a good hitter.

If you follow the advice and drills that I lay out in this blog, and work during the entire off season without making excuses for yourself about why you can't train, you will see your baseball ability rise exponentially and you'll have a lot more fun playing America's favorite past time.
